It is an age-old ingredient (it’s over 4,000 years old!) with many uses including as a shoe polish, food additive and motor lubricant. You would be reasonable to think that putting shoe polish on your face wouldn’t be the best idea, but it turns out castor oil has some unique properties that make it a stalwart in thick and gloss-giving formulas (think lipsticks and highlighters). You Might Also LikeI’ve tried other L’Oreal mascaras in the past and so far the Telescopic Clean Definition has been my favorite. It’s an old one, but I’ve been a die hard fan for years. It was my go to product when I was at uni and for a few years after graduation. Also, I actually tend to prefer drugstore mascaras — using the L’Oreal Voluminous Waterproof right now (and I guess Lash Paradise is technically an addition to that line?)
